Overview
Android users have multiple options for saving RedNote (Xiaohongshu) videos. This guide covers the built-in feature, Chrome-based downloading, and screen recording.
Method 1: RedNote App Built-In Save
- Open RedNote and find the video post.
- Tap the share button.
- Select "Save video" or "Download."
- The video saves to your phone Gallery.
Method 2: Online Downloader via Chrome
- In RedNote, tap share then Copy link.
- Open Chrome and go to rednote.savevideodown.com.
- Paste the link and tap Get Video.
- Tap Download Video to save the file.
- Access your download from the notification bar or Files app.
Method 3: Screen Recording
- Find the Screen Recorder tile in your Quick Settings.
- Tap it, confirm permissions, and play the video in RedNote.
- Stop recording when done. The file saves to your Gallery.
Moving Downloads to Gallery
If the file went to Downloads instead of Gallery: Open Files app, go to Downloads, long-press the video, tap Move, and select your Gallery or DCIM folder.
